Tiger Woods win at the PGA was worth 400 GRI ranking points and has propelled Woods to a 516+ point lead on the GRI Cumulative Performance Index. (CPI). Through the PGA Woods has earned 1870.54 points for the season thus far.

Jim Furyk is #2 with 1354.04 points and Phil Mickelson is #3 with 1311.34 points.
With the upcoming WGC event expected to yield over 300 points to the winner, Furyk or Mickelson could cut significantly into the lead should either player win.

The CPI index is a total of GRI ranking points earned within a single season. Points are earned by order of finish and based on the strength of field in each event. Premier events such as the majors and events with strong fields are worth more ranking points than events with lesser fields. Tiger Woods led the 2005 CPI with a total of 2944 points.

The Golf Rank Index (GRI) - Cumulative Performance Index is determined by totaling all GRI ranking points earned in a calendar year period.
