Tiger Woods won the PGA to extend his dominating lead on the GRI Quality Performance Index (QPI). Woods GRI points-per-event has ballooned to 155.88.

Adam Scott has moved to #2 witha GRI points-per-event average of 75.22 and Phil Mickelson has dropped to #3 with an average of 72.85.

With only 11 weeks remaining, Woods has virtually locked up the 2006 QPI. There might be some scenario of events that could happen to unseat Woods... we just can't figure out what it is. We don't believe that Woods can fail in enough events and Scott or Mickelson win enough events to topple Woods from the top. Until we can lock down the schedules of those three players... a very slight chance for them remains.

The 2006-QPI is determined by totaling all GRI points a player earns in a year, divided by the number of events entered. Big events such as the majors, and events with stronger fields are worth more points than events with lesser fields.
