Ogilvy finished the month with 413.53 points, more than 32 ahead of #2 Vijay Singh's 380.60 points. Adam Scott finished the month at #3 with 299.76 points followed by U.S. Open runner-up Phil Mickelson who had 298.93 points for the month. Overview of June GRI rated events: Week 22 - the Memorial Championship - Carl Pettersson earned 284.65 points for the win against what turned out to be the best field of a "regular tour event" this year. Brett Wetterich and Zach Johnson earned 156.56 points each for their 2nd place tie. Week 23 - Barclays Classic - Vijay Singh returned to the winners circle for the first time in 2006 and earned 270.60 points in the process. Adam Scott earned 162.36 for 2nd place while Brett Quigley and Billy Andrade earned 121.77 points each for their 3rd place tie. Week 24 - U.S. Open - Geoff Ogilvy watched from the sidelines as Colin Montgomery and Phil Mickelson self-destructed with 72nd hole double bogeys, handing Ogilvy the win and 400 1st place points. Monty, Mickelson and Jim Furyk finished tied for 2nd and earned 200 points apiece and Padraig Harrington earned 140.00 points for solo 5th. Week 25 - Booz Allen Classic - Ben Curtis slogged through the rain soaked TPC at Avenel to record his first win since the 2003 British Open. Curtis earned 128.75 points for the win. Wales Zimbabwe             Criteria for Golf Rank Index - Player of the Month The Golf Rank Index (GRI) - Player of the Month is determined by totaling GRI ranking points earned in all GRI ranked professional golf events scheduled within a months time frame. Events that bridge a months end or beginning of another, are generally placed in the month in which they end, but may be shifted to the prior month to balance the number of events to be ranked in each month. In the event of a first place tie, co-winners will be named. Eligibility - All players participating in GRI ranked events are eligible. They do not need to be a member of any professional golf tour. Must Win - To be named a player of the month, the player MUST have a win in a GRI ranked event in the month. Should any player without a win earn the highest number of GRI ranking points for a given month, the player will be placed behind the highest ranked player with a win.
